LTE showcase reveals future possibilities

In October this year, Gen-i and Alcatel Lucent ran the LTE Showcase at The Front Room in Telecom Place in Auckland, to demonstrate a next generation mobile network and its broad range of applications to our clients.  We managed to get close to 100mb/s downloads over our mobile devices at the live showcase, which is pretty cool.

We did this to show what could happen when you work without boundaries or time delays. To show how to produce more ideas, get more done and have greater agility. We wanted to present a world that revolves around the end user, improves customer engagement and mobilises a workforce more focused on the task at hand and better equipped to cope with modern life.

We were really pleased to have some local Kiwi application developers highlighted and inducted into the global LTE application ecosystem so their ideas and cool tech can be shared with the world.

To find out more about the future of business on an LTE (long term evolution) network, check out our demonstration videos.
